Chuan Fa has been translated as Kempo in Japanese, Kenpo and Kung Fu in Chinese . But in essence it embodies a tradition from which other styles of martial arts have developed their techniques be it Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do, Thai boxing as well as many others. “Tis the presence of the dragon that imparts the sacred spirit”
“Tis the presence of virtue when one truly becomes rich”
Thusly when you have dragon spirit you are endowed with its virtue.
There are three points of primary virtue; wisdom , benevolence and valor. As seen in our logo, these three points are represented outwardly by the triangle. Inside the second triangle is a sign that represents a connection of the mind, body, spirit, called the Hsing as seen here. Surrounded by virtue and standing strongly over the Hsing is the Dragon our outward sign of virtue and hovering over the Yin Yang symbol called the Tai Chi or the balance of all energies and life symbols, good and evil, male and female, hot and cold. This is your symbol of virtue and life and our associations basic principles for students and instructors alike.
